This immersive expedition journeys from Norway’s historic coastal city into the heart of its fjords, rivers, and alpine landscapes. Combining scenic drives, hiking, rafting, and cultural highlights, the trip balances adventure with time to explore Norway’s most iconic regions at a comfortable pace.
DAY 1 – MEET IN BERGEN | COASTAL GATEWAY
Base: Bergen (Hotel booked independently by traveler)
Guests arrive independently in Bergen and meet the group in the city center. The day begins with a welcome briefing covering the expedition route, safety overview, and gear check, followed by food logistics preparation.
The afternoon is dedicated to exploring Bergen, including Bryggen Wharf (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Fish Market, and a hike or ride up the Fløibanen for panoramic city views.
A welcome dinner is shared in Bergen before overnight accommodation at a local hotel.
DAY 2 – BERGEN → FLÅM
Drive: Approx. 3 hours with comfort stop
Accommodation: Camping (Flåm Camping & Hostel or Brekke Gard Camping)
After breakfast, the group departs Bergen for a scenic drive through fjords, valleys, and mountain landscapes. Arrival in Flåm is mid-afternoon.
Camp is set up along the fjord, followed by an easy walk through the village and time to relax by the water.
DAY 3 – FLÅM | HIKING & FJORD EXPLORATION
Accommodation: Camping
After breakfast at camp, guests choose from several hiking options, including the Brekkefossen Waterfall or sections of the Aurlandsdalen Valley.

The Flåm Railway (USD $60)
One of the world’s most scenic train journeys, the Flåm Railway travels from sea level at the Aurlandsfjord to the mountain station of Myrdal at 867 meters. The ride passes rivers, waterfalls, farms, and steep mountain terrain, with a photo stop at Kjosfossen waterfall.
The evening is relaxed and spent at camp.
DAY 4 – FLÅM → LOM | JOTUNHEIMEN NATIONAL PARK
Drive: Approx. 4–4.5 hours with comfort stops
Accommodation: Camping
The journey continues inland with a stop at the Stegastein Viewpoint, offering sweeping views over the Aurlandsfjord. The route then enters Jotunheimen National Park, Norway’s premier mountain wilderness and home to the country’s highest peaks, glaciers, and alpine lakes.
In Lom, the group visits the historic Lom Stave Church, a well-preserved medieval wooden church featuring traditional stave construction and carved details influenced by Viking and Christian symbolism.
Camp is set up near Lom.
DAY 5 – LOM | FREE DAY
Accommodation: Camping
After breakfast, the day is free to explore Lom at your own pace. Options include walking through the village, visiting local bakeries, or relaxing at camp.

Experience Lom from above on the Prestfosstraversen zipline, a 200-meter ride that sends you soaring over the Prestfossen waterfall on the Bøvra River, passing beneath the historic stone bridge and offering unique views of the National Park village.
Dinner is enjoyed at camp.
DAY 6 – LOM | WHITEWATER RAFTING
River: Otta River (Class II–III+)
Accommodation: Camping
Today is dedicated to rafting on the Otta River, known for its clear water and fun, continuous rapids. After breakfast, the group heads to the river for a guided rafting experience suitable for adventurous beginners and experienced paddlers alike.
A riverside lunch is included before returning to camp for a relaxed evening.
DAY 7 – LOM → GEIRANGER
Drive: Approx. 4.5 hours with comfort stop
Accommodation: Camping (Grande Camping or Geiranger Camping)
The drive to Geiranger includes a stop at the Dalsnibba Viewpoint (Geiranger Skywalk), offering one of Europe’s highest accessible fjord views at approximately 1,500 meters above sea level.
Arrival in Geiranger allows time to explore the village and surrounding viewpoints. Dinner is enjoyed in the evening.

Seven Sisters Waterfall by boat or by kayak.
DAYS 8–9 – GEIRANGER → VALLDAL → TROLLSTIGEN → ÅNDALSNES
Accommodation: Åndalsnes area
After breakfast, the route follows Ørnevegen (Eagle Road) before continuing to Trollstigen, one of Norway’s most dramatic mountain roads, with multiple photo stops.
In the Åndalsnes region, guests can choose from iconic hikes such as the Romsdalseggen Ridge or the Rampestreken Viewpoint. Packed lunches are provided on hiking days.
Time is also available to explore the surrounding valleys and rivers before overnight stays in the Åndalsnes area.
DAY 10 – ÅNDALSNES → ÅLESUND | EXPEDITION FINALE
Drive: Approx. 2.5 hours with comfort stop
The final drive leads to Ålesund, famous for its Art Nouveau architecture and coastal setting. Upon arrival, guests explore the town and enjoy a farewell lunch together.
The expedition concludes in Ålesund.
