Full-Day Rafting - Zambezi River

Welcome to Mpala Guest & Adventure Farm | Try Rafting Co. ! By booking with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions, including policies on payments, cancellations, refunds, and participation requirements.

General Policies

1. Rain or Shine Operations: All trips, including rafting and non-rafting, operate in various weather conditions. No refunds will be provided due to inclement weather, as our activities are designed to proceed safely in diverse conditions.
2. No-Show Policy: No-shows, including those arriving late, will not receive refunds. It is the guest’s responsibility to be punctual and at the designated meeting spot on time.
3. Personal Property: Mpala Guest & Adventure Farm is not responsible for lost or damaged property, including items left in vehicles or in containers provided at your request. Guests are encouraged to secure their valuables.
4. Assumption of Risk: Participation in outdoor adventure activities, especially rafting, involves inherent risks. All participants must sign a waiver and release of liability form before engaging in any activity.
5. Activity Ratings and Physical Fitness: Activities vary in difficulty. Guests should carefully assess their physical abilities and inquire about current conditions to select a trip appropriate to their fitness level.

Reservation & Payment Policy

• Full Payment Required: Full payment is required within 30 days of your departure. A $500 deposit is required at booking to confirm your reservation. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.
• Additional Fees: Service charges, special services, and requests are non-refundable and must be paid in advance.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Single-Day Rafting Excursions

• Cancellations received by 7:00 a.m. at least 7 days prior to departure: Eligible for a refund minus a service fee.
• Cancellations within 7 days of departure: Non-refundable.

Multi-Day Rafting Trips

• Cancellations made more than 60 days before departure: Eligible for a 50% refund of the total booking amount 
• Cancellations within 60 days of departure: Non-refundable.

Single-Day Excursions (Non-Rafting)

• Cancellations received by 7:00 a.m. at least 7 days prior to departure: Eligible for a refund, minus a service fee.
• Cancellations within 7 days of departure: Non-refundable.

Multi-Day Adventure Trips (Non-Rafting)

Cancellation Before Final Payment:
100% of your money less confirmation deposit is refundable until your trips final payment date.

Cancellation After Final Payment:
50% of Trip cost refundable less confirmation fee
Up to 30 days before trip 25% of trip cost refundable less confirmation fee
Day of departure or early departure from trip 0% refund

Additional Conditions

• Special Circumstances: We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover medical emergencies, travel interruptions, or unforeseen events, as Mpala Guest & Adventure Farm is not liable for refunds due to personal emergencies, missed connections, or other interruptions.
• Force Majeure: If a trip is canceled, delayed, or modified due to uncontrollable events (e.g., natural disasters, civil unrest, or government actions), refunds or credits will be considered at our discretion.

Health and Safety

• Waiver Requirement: A signed waiver and release of liability is mandatory for all participants.
• Safety Gear: For certain activities, such as rafting and hiking, participants are required to wear provided safety equipment, including life jackets and helmets.
• Health Conditions: Guests should disclose any medical conditions or limitations that may impact their ability to participate safely. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure they are physically capable of participating.

Whitewater Rafting Specifics

• Natural Conditions: Whitewater rafting is an adventure dependent on natural conditions. No rafting trip is entirely risk-free, and the risk of “swims” or flips increases with the difficulty rating. Consider the capabilities of yourself and your companions when choosing a trip.
• Difficulty Ratings: Rapids on the Zambezi River are rated on a scale of 1 to 5, with Class 2 as “Easy,” Class 3 as “Moderate,” Class 4 as “Difficult,” and Class 5 as “Very Difficult.” Please inquire about current conditions and ratings before booking.

Additional Information

1. Itinerary Changes: Mpala Guest & Adventure Farm reserves the right to modify itineraries due to weather, safety, or other unforeseen factors without prior notice.
2. Guided Tours and Group Sizes: Group sizes and guided activities are arranged for safety and quality of experience and may be adjusted at our discretion.
3. Image and Media Rights: By participating, you grant Mpala Guest & Adventure Farm the right to use photographs and videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes.

Limitation of Liability

Mpala Guest & Adventure Farm | Try Rafting Co. and its agents, employees, and contractors are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred while participating in activities. By booking, guests acknowledge and accept the risks associated with outdoor and adventure activities and release Mpala Guest & Adventure Farm from any liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Agreement to Terms

By booking with Mpala Guest & Adventure Farm | Try Rafting Co., guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, including all policies regarding cancellations, refunds, and personal responsibility. These Terms are subject to change without notice.
